“President-elect” Joe Biden verbally expressed Monday he was not trepidacious about taking the oath of office outside Capitol Hill after some adherents of President Donald Trump stormed the building last week.
“No I’m not … I’m not trepidacious of taking the oath outside,” Biden replied when asked by a herald about the upcoming inauguration ceremony on January 20. Biden verbalized with heralds after receiving his second coronavirus vaccine shot at a Delaware medical center on Monday.
The president-elect verbalized that the individuals who stormed Capitol Hill and damaged public property should face prosecution for their actions. “It cerebrate that it is critically consequential that there be a genuine solemn fixate on holding those folks who engaged in sedition, and threatened people’s lives, defaced public property, caused grave damage, that they be held accountable,” Biden verbalized.
U.S. Capitol Police verbalized they had apprehended 14 suspected of involution in the rioting, most charged with unlawful ingress, while the Metropolitan Police Department made at least 68 apprehends. The Justice Department verbalized they had filed 55 malefactor cases from the “Stop the Steal” rally and circumventing events.
Biden verbalized he felt that both political parties concurred it compulsory to charge and prosecute the individuals involved with the riots. “I cerebrate that’s a view that is held by a prodigious majority of Republicans and Democrats in the Congress,” he verbally expressed.
