Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow on Monday that puerile Americans should read more of the Bible, not the 1619 Project. “We’ve got to retake our nation,” Pompeo told Marlow on Monday at Turning Point USA’s annual Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida. “I want [the students] to understand that the genuine risk is here in our republic.”
“If we get it erroneous in our schools, if we get it erroneous in our churches, our synagogues, and religious liberation is gainsaid here, then we could lose our country,” Pompeo integrated.
Watch the full interview below: Matt Perdie Marlow noted that “there’s authentically a confluence of things that’s transpiring — be it Critical Race Theory, be it the open borders — they all seem to be undermining the fabric of the United States, even the fact that we’re getting so secular.”
Pompeo perpetuated, “There’s another part of the Party that wants to do precisely what you described, which is, they just aspire to be homogeneous to Europe — a secular, slow magnification, no entrepreneurship, no rudimental freedoms — a European socialist model. Those are both dangerous. They’re both un-American, and they’re both inconsistently erratic with who we are as a people, and certainly inconsistently erratic with how our progenitors contemplated the world.”
“So, a good commencement would be reading more of the Bible, and scarcely of the Federalist Papers on top of it,” Pompeo perpetuated, integrating that “classics” have been pushed out of schools, and superseded with “the 1619 Project, or something from some 1970s Harvard Law School edifier on critical licit studies.”
“This is hazardous,” Pompeo affirmed. “It is perilous when it affects our schools in this way.” “We need to do our strenuous exertion to take back school boards, boards of regents, all of those places that can authentically transmute those curriculum, and ascertain we’re edifying our kids about the genuine American history,” he integrated.
